OUR CLIENTS

Some of our female clients are quite shy and reserved, but they have ‘that’ part inside of them that wants to be expressive, to take chances, to step outside of conformity, and to express their individuality.

What it often comes down to is wanting to step outside of their comfort zone, challenging themselves and their attitude towards their bodies and the facade that they present to the world.

The process that Emotive Images takes our clients through both before, during and after their photo shoot, is quite unique.

Louise’s previous life as a Psychologist for 12 years, enables her to select from a variety of activities and approaches that help our clients to explore their sense of self and reveal parts of themselves that they would often not even share with those closest in their lives.

Imagine you are at home on your own with your favourite music playing, and you are dancing to the beat and feeling energised.  The joy and freedom that you feel in that moment….that is the same joy and freedom that our clients experience during their photo shoot…….it is that joy and freedom that we photograph, and our clients are reminded of when they look back on their photos.  It is such a precious gift that these clients give to themselves,  and we are so thrilled to be a part of this journey.

Shy and Reserved

Getting Married

Some of our clients are brides-to-be with hearts filled with love, and a desire to create images that their partner can adore and swoon over!

They are often creating a series of images that can be displayed in one of our Photo Boxed Collections, and then shared either before or on the day of their wedding.

There is absolutely no need for just Lingerie as an attire with this type of photography, although a boudoir photography style is often adopted for some of the images within their collections.

These clients often say after their photo shoot that their confidence has increased, and they have learnt how to hold their body in the best way for photographs, which is especially useful for preparing for their wedding day and the many photographs that will be taken.

Many of our clients are hard working mothers who are looking for some pampering “ME” time out of their busy lives looking after kids, the family home, and for some mothers they are also working outside of the home as well.

Commissioning a photo shoot for themselves, and not for their family or for their children, seems like such a luxury to many, with our clients often wrestling with the idea of focusing just on themselves.

During the day of their photo shoot, they start to remember all the parts of themselves that they have pushed away, or denied, or simply forgotten.

For many, there is a reawakening of their feminine selves that isn’t connected to the role of mother, and is purely focused on appreciating their bodies, and their ability to OWN who they are as women.

Local & Inter-state

Inter-state & Local

Our clients are often from South-East Queensland but we also look after inter-state clients who really love our work and want to be photographed by Louise.

We aim to do most of our photo shoots in a client's home or a hotel room.  For all local clients we encourage them to utilise their home, with all of their familiar surroundings, furniture and props from their home.

There are often furniture pieces and items within their home, that they haven't even considered could be used for their shoot.

For inter-state clients there are several choices in Brisbane for beautifully furnished hotel rooms that can suit a range of themes and styles for a photo shoot.

For our female clients, their body and curves often play an important part in when and why they decide to commission a photo shoot.

Some clients raise concerns about certain parts of their body, or express a desire to schedule the photo shoot some time later, to give them an incentive to work on those parts of their body that they aren’t entirely sure about.

The irony of this situation is this.  As an experienced Professional Photography Studio, Louise is skilled in lighting, posing and creative techniques, that all bring out the very best in each and every one of our clients……regardless of body shape and size.

The other side of the situation is, that these photo shoots often trigger in our clients a positive transformation in confidence, body image and attitude.

The initial designing of the photo shoot challenges clients to really reflect on who they are as a person and how they want to be truly seen by others.

A lot of clients start to realise that it isn’t so much about the clothing and the props…..in a sense they can be a distraction if focused on too much….what it comes down to is your attitude towards yourself and your sense of self that you are putting out to the world.

This very realisation is quite empowering for most women, bringing forth a sense of freedom and ease with who they are.

The photo shoot itself is equally a huge workout for both their body and their mind, and a huge release of finally facing their own shadow so to speak.

Imagine if you could work through a process that crystalises a sense of huge clarity in your mind about owning who you are with absolutely NO apologies to anyone and NO hesitation to just be YOU!?

So while we encourage our clients to do anything they feel they need to do to prepare properly for their photo shoot, and give themselves space and time to plan, we also encourage our clients to embrace who they are right now, right in this space.

If you find yourself moreso behind the camera instead of in front of the camera, then you would most likely relate to this woman’s story.

Celebrating a new Fit & Healthy Lifestyle & Body

All Ages

Our clients are from a whole range of age groups, including the young-at-heart grandmothers of this world.  They grew up in a time when the world was a lot more relaxed, where the heart and soul of story-telling was in music, and the clothing was classic and timeless.

These women have seen their children growing up, are now enjoying grandchildren in their lives, and bring with them a sense of feminine wisdom that we all wish we could possess.

Our clients face a series of milestones in their lives that they wish to record in a way that is both creative and approached with a great deal of respect.

Often times these milestones are positive and bring with them so much joy that they wish to reflect in their images.

Other moments can be very stressful and life changing, including divorce or separation, infertility or loss of a child, and even forms of cancer and disease.

Everyone processes their reaction to these moments in different ways.  Everyone grieves for a life changed forever.

Emotive Images embraces these difficult moments with their clients.  It is a scenario where our clients can draw strength from and some sense of control over how their mind will remember this moment.

While we cannot change what is happening in this moment, in terms of diagnosis or treatment, what Louise does do is assist her clients to adopt a new ‘story’ for how to assimilate this journey into their livesand make sense out of something so senseless.

Some of our clients who are facing cancer related diseases, choose to commission a glamour style photo shoot, where they can simply be feminine and luscious and extraordinary = beautiful Sarah…..as opposed to Sarah with cancer.

There is a restorative effect that comes about with the focus of these types of photo shoots.  The intense focus on visually representing your identity in a photograph, can be mesmerising and quite a joy, when you can get out of your own headspace about everything medical and disease wise.

Our makeup professionals are highly skilled in assisting with styling wigs and reproducing eyebrows etc, especially for those who have undergone cancer treatments.

Overcoming Major Milestones

Express their Individuality

Our clients often seek out our photography work because we endeavour to create Soul Based creative conceptual work that truly says something about the person who is featured.

Many of our clients love to have this outlet as a form of creativity and self-expression.

Some of the topics we have collaborated with our clients to raise awareness about and creatively reflect in our fine-art imagery, include infertility, the challenge of making decisionsrebirththe devine femininecancer in several forms, and a twist on classical fairy tale stories.

Louise has this strong desire to constantly push the boundaries of both the telling of the human story, as well as the boundaries of photography and art.  She also has this skill of drawing her clients into a space of self-expression that they would not normally be bold enough to explore or reveal.

Our clients are sometimes in the early stages of a loved up, gorgeous, delicious relationship with someone they adore.

There is nothing quite like seeing two people in love and in the beginning stages of learning all about the other person.

beLOVEd is a photographic technique that blends beautifully Louise’s past experience as a Psychologist and her creativity as a photographer, to invite these types of clients into profound moments of authentic interaction.

In a Relationship

Memorable Family Moments

Our clients are sometimes in the beginning stages of a new Family, with a newborn or toddler, that brings so much new life and joy to their moments as a couple.

Other clients have fully grown children who have flown the nest and have their own lives and families to bring to their legacy as a family.

beLOVEd as a photographic technique is equally powerful during these photo shoots.  Siblings and parent-child relationship bonds are reignited, and the activities involved create moments that are memorable.

Some of the activities we will engage in might involve writing a gratitude note to someone in the family, and reading the words during the photo shoot itself.

There is so much love, laughter, tears, and joy that are often experienced, even for families who don’t show a lot of emotion towards one another typically.

These photo shoots break down walls, and create fresh moments that our clients’ families treasure and take with them into their day-to-day lives together.

Our clients often have three and four generations of women and/or men in their families, which is such a joy to photograph and an honour to be a part of.

There is something truly magical with seeing a grandmother or great-grandmother, interacting, playing, connecting with a grand-daughter, and the daughter/mother looking on with so much joy.

These moments move by so quickly, particularly if grand-parents start to fall ill.  The saying is particularly important for these situations – Life is precious, embrace every moment right now.

Remember looking back at your mum and dad’s photo albums, from decades ago when they were growing up, and seeing family members in these photos who you never met, but have heard of their legacy in the family?

The album pages are a little frayed, or the photos are starting to discolour in parts, or the plastic sleeves that lay over the top of each photo are losing their sheen and going brittle.

You, your children and your parents ARE the next generation of those images you admired as a child in those albums you would look at.

Three Generations in Family

Our clients will often choose to do a photo shoot with both themselves and their mother or their daughter.

Such a special bond between mother and daughter, and this is a perfect opportunity to have a “girl’s day” together and have some pampering time.

Imagine both of your favourite music playing throughout the morning, a makeup professional there to enhance both of your beautiful selves, and supporting each other to have your limelight in front of the camera.

Picture that moment when your mum is all gorgeous’d up, feeling beautiful in her self, posed beautifully in her lounge room or rocking out some moves in a lit up hallway in your house, and Louise asks her about an important moment when she felt THE most pride for her daughter.

As she describes that moment in detail, and she is glancing back at you occasionally as you both giggle and grin from ear to ear, remembering this moment together….Louise captures with a photograph IN that moment your mum in a full state of joy and pride and love.

That emotion will come back to you and you will remember that story that she told, as you flick through the photo album of images that were taken on the day.

Mothers & Daughters

Established Businesses who have a Great Team of Employees

Our clients are established business owners with an amazing team of employees who they want to include in online and print marketing images.

Producing something that is less of an individual headshot for each employee, and moreso of a heart-felt authentic representation of their employees, will enable customers to engage more with the business in general.

Bringing an engaging human element to each employee’s portrait, allows customers to relate more to those looking after them in the business, and draws a familiar connection that is much sought after in businesses today.

Our clients are often small business owners, who appreciate the importance of making a strong connection with their customers, through the sea of social media and the bombardment of modern day advertising.

It is so important to create images that express their true individuality, and reveal the warmth of their souls as an approachable business owner providing a quality service.

Professional head shots are highly valued by these clients who want to stand out from the crowd, and move away from the old approach of ‘stand in front of that plain background and smile at the camera’.

Even with photos against plain backgrounds to overlay onto marketing materials, Emotive Images will still capture the true authentic nature of the person, and show the best possible version of themselves.

Alternatively, some of these clients will choose to have their photos taken within their business environment, or while they are performing a familiar task that speaks volumes about what they do and how they meet customer’s needs.

Giving their customers a more detailed view of who they will be working with, enables our small business clients to feel confident and reassured that they are presenting a professional image.

Small Business Owners who want to Connect

Full Branding Experience for Business

Our clients are both established large and small businesses, who have a need to produce personalised, specific branded stock images, that they will be able to utilise within newsletters, articles on certain topics, and to visually support any marketing materials that need themed images.

They see the importance of having their own branded images that are created specifically for the business, rather than investing in stock images from online sources, that are not as personalised or directly relevant.

Imagine having personalised stock images that are themed around your products and services, potentially including your staff or customers within these images, which will present a cohesive message to the public.
